My New Design Studio: P & B Design Source

I am beyond thrilled to announce the opening of my new design studio and the launch of P & B Design Source, a new studio dedicated to design, furniture, and accessories in downtown Memphis. Conceived for the interior design trade and general consumer public, my new studio will provide diverse commercial and residential interior products, as well as interior design consultations and planning services for my clientele.

P & B Design Source is an independent business and subsidiary under the auspices of my design firm, Ami Austin Interior Design, and is located in the Kerns-Wilcheck building, effectively creating an entirely new design district.

I want designers to be inspired when they enter P & B Design Source in search of an elegant and one-of-a-kind look for their projects. With this in mind, my new studio will provide designers with the resources and support they need to execute fully finished interiors with thousands of specialty product options, such as a fabulous range of furnishings, lighting options, tile, area rugs, fabrics, fine linens, artwork, architectural elements, flooring, and accessories from the nation’s top branded product lines and collections. Designed by yours truly, a new bespoke line of merchandise, dubbed Parker Lauren by Ami Austin, will also be available.

Vignettes comprised of sparkling chandeliers, elegant artwork and stylish furniture will greet designers and patrons entering my studio. For example, a posh sitting room I designed will offer a stylish gathering space for designers as well as clients to conceptualize their designs or participate in relaxed conversation. Decorating ideas on display will also allow each visitor to translate, customize and order products for their clients’ interiors—or their own for that matter!

Impressive French panel doors spanning 15 feet lead to the library, which I created as both a workspace and product reference room. Flanked by shelves with branded product catalogs and look books, this room yields quick and easy access to thousands of collections otherwise only available in merchandise marts. A computer station punctuates the intimate setting within, allowing visiting designers to conduct online research.

Phillip Jeffries, Fuse Lighting, Global Views, Century Furniture, and the custom Parker Lauren by Ami Austin collections are just a few among the variety of product lines that will be accessible at P & B Design Source. My studio will also offer many product sourcing choices and related support to designers with smaller ordering bandwidths on their own.

Our meticulous staff will assist designers with selecting finishes from granite to marble; procuring all or select interior products; and consultations upon request that augment a designer’s talent.

Visitors who wish to purchase large product quantities for their residential or commercial spaces may also schedule an appointment with me to provide interior design planning and services. I will also be available to book appointments with consumers who have not yet retained the services of an interior designer and would like a full consultation.

A goal of mine with the new studio is to help provide solutions for the challenges architects and designers face. Upon request, we can assist with importing plans and project documents, as well as key software applications like AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp for a fee.

I truly believe that P & B Design Source will add business and growth value to the City of Memphis and help create beautiful interiors around the area and state. I can’t wait to see you at the studio!
