Ami’s Story
In 2004, Ami Austin founded Ami Austin Interior Design in Memphis, TN. Ami is a nationally acclaimed award-winning professional known for sophisticated and intriguing detail in her designs. Her breadth of design knowledge and her passion for originality lead to memorable, personalized, stunning interiors for residential and commercial clients.
Ami is the recipient of numerous design awards, including the Interior Design Society’s prestigious “Designer of the Year” award. Her work and expertise have been featured in many publications, including Interior Design, Romantic Homes, Elle Décor, Lux Life, Architect, Architizer, Residential Architect, Home Accents Today, Interiors + Sources, Design Journal, Home Furnishings Business, Kitchen and Bath Business, Kitchen Bath Trends, Furniture World, Furniture Today, Mytrends, Editor at Large, Custom Home, Design Studio, At Home Memphis & Mid-South, MEMPHIS, Memphis Business Journal, Click, and Memphis Daily News/The Daily Memphian.
Her work is also featured in the book, “Inspiring Interiors,”.
Ami’s show house experience includes ADAC vignettes for the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival and Art by Design benefiting Arts Memphis. Additionally, HPMKT selected Ami to represent the Interior Design Society and she was chosen as Memphis’ favorite interior designer.
A bespoke line of merchandise personally designed by Ami under the brand name Parker Lauren by Ami Austin is showcased at her Memphis studio and throughout projects from coast to coast.
Ami serves on the Greater Memphis Chamber Small Business Taskforce and has served advisory board for the American Cancer Society.

Meet Diane Johnson Our Showroom Associate…
Diane is the most engaging, wonderful, and helpful individual you could possibly get the pleasure of knowing. She loves all things creative, Crimson Tide, and most of all her strong drive and approachable aura creates an inviting space for our visitors. She finds great enjoyment learning the interests and providing a top tier experience for our lovely clients during their visit to our showroom. Diane is perfectly elegant and her passion for art and all things beautiful fit perfectly with finding just the right art, bedding and furnishings, leading to future design discoveries through Ami Austin Interior Design.
Meet Chandler Holland our Showroom Manager...
Chandler is my secret weapon for all things. She is working full time while earning her degree at The University of Memphis. She loves using her creative side and spending time at Pickwick Lake. Chandler came to me with the want and drive to combine her love for interior design and customer service to learn just what it takes to be in the interior design world. If we want to something to get done and done right, all I have to do is ask and most of the time she is already one step ahead. I love having her knowledge and sweet personality on the Ami Austin Interior Design team.
